Whitie's Pets, Fresno
This year, Whitie’s Pets celebrates sixty years of serving Fresno and surrounding communities with the finest in pets and pet supplies. Fresno’s only real pet store began in business on Ventura and parallel in the downtown area. Soon they moved to a larger location at Ventura and orange. In 1978 Whitie’s moved uptown to Blackstone south of Shaw and operated both locations until 1991. That year Whitie’s decided to consolidate and open one pet super store in what was then called the Northgate shopping center. Whitie’s has flourished in their present location, now called the “circuit city” shopping center, and continues a tradition that began 60 years ago: providing Fresno with real pets, the most innovative pet supplies and the finest in pet food product.
