The club continues to be a consistent force in Northern California Rugby with league championships in the late 70's, early 80's as well as in 1998 and 1999. Fresno took the the Santa Barbara International Rugby Tournament in 1992 by storm winning hands down. They went on to finish 5th in the nation in 1998 and 3rd in 1999 for Men's Division II. The rugby team has the distinction of being the only Division II team to make it to the final match of Men's Club Sevens National Championship in Conshohocken, PA in 1997. They have also produced two U.S. Eagle players; Jay Wilkerson and Jason Raven. Fresno currently has two players (Jojo McKenzie and Chris Rinehart) who were in the U.S. Eagles pool for selection during the International Test Matches and World Cup in Wales in 1999.
